browncast #009 – jose without an o

The latest installment of the show is a short one. We seemed to have a bad case of ADD that night and I suppose a little worn out from the work week. It makes me wish I could record this during the day. Maybe we should try this format for the next episode. Its the tenth one. Being that its a milestone in my eyes I want to do something special. Dave brought up the idea to make a “best of” mix which would be a good idea, but there’s not that much content here and frankly I’m too lazy to do it. So maybe if I find the time.

Anyway, we talked about the comings of spring and our new theme song. The dudes in Deisel Boy were nice enough to let us use their song for our show. Go check listen to their music on their myspace page. Pretty sweet band. Though I don’t think they are actually a band anymore. Sorry cheeky, you had a good run. Maybe next time.

Oh, and send us an email. If you have a question or just a demeaning comment, we’d love to hear it.

browncast #008 – TGIF-day

Do you ever get that feeling like its Friday night and the year is 1994? I do sometimes. I sometimes get that reminder of laying on the carpeted floor in the middle of the living room wishing my life was as sweet as Mike Seaver’s. We all tried to recreated that feeling for this episode and didn’t come too far off. Not only were the topics 90′s related but so was the audio. I kind of messed up on this one. After a couple listens, I actually think I recorded the whole thing through the macbook’s internal mic. But for some reason, the mixer was working during level checks. This just goes to show, the further these episodes go on, the further I do not progress with the audio engineering. Its not that bad though. So enjoy.

Oh, and we are on itunes now. Go to podcasts and search for the brownout. My next step is to put create the enhanced audio with with album art and shit. Then we can put a link on the site to it.
