browncast holiday gift – booze

Lets just consider this the brownout’s x-mas gift to you. Today we bring you a hidden sample of what happens in the brownout once the party is over. Dave talks while I just try and pay attention. Two things to note here. When I talk about our email address, its incorrect. The new address is thebrowncast@joef.org. And email dave and tell him he has no business conducting a radio show – booze@joef.org.

So merry x-mas and enjoy!

browncast pre-holiday experiment

On monday we were out for dinner and drinks discussing the possibility of automating calls during a broadcast. We are currently experimenting with a few different platforms and have yet to find one that sticks. We have a holiday break, so that gives us some time to think it over.

With nothing to talk about, we sort of rambled for a half an hour. After listening back, the ramblings were a bit amusing as always. So take a listen and tell us what you think. Again, out email address is thebrowncast@joef.org. I am also in the processing of switching our website over to standardize the handle.

browncast #003 – going live!

The latest episode of the the browncast brings again, a new horizon. Dave took all friday and figured out how to get out live stream going. As well as a live chat. Steve amstutz made a guest appearance with his thoughts on west michigan hunting and fishing.

Again, we would like to remind you that we have an email address and would like you to send us you thoughts – thebrowncast@joef.org (it has changed). We decided to standardize on the handle thebrowncast. Search for us on shoutcast under talk shows.

Take note:

browncast #002 – sound effects and sponsors

This took way too long to get posted, but I finally got around to posting the latest cast. This episode was, as always, an interesting one. We discovered sound effects and unfortunately, it got a little out of control. This episode also made an appearance by our first sponsor.

I must make this disclaimer now. If you are offended by dick jokes and/or pornographic material, do not continue and listen to the show.

With that being said, this episode also was the first we mentioned our email address. We really want to hear your feedback of the show, so email us at browncast@joef.org. If you are offended by the content, have something to add to the show, or just want to say hey, shoot us an email. We’ll talk about it on the next episode. And bear with us, I am still working on getting this on itunes and the correct enclosures included in the feeds.

We are also working on getting the show to broadcast live. That’s right, Dave’s hard at work now that he doesn’t have to go to school anymore. Stay tuned.

browncast #001 – claws and hockeys

OK, after slight jolt of rock n roll and a need to vent, the second (yet first official) browncast was recorded. I tried to bring a list of topics but no one wanted to talk about them. So we just kind of winged it, if you will. Anyway, enjoy the not too happy (except myself) crew as we talk about life, claws, and hockey.

I am in the process of adding this program to iTunes. So bear with me and eventually you and the rest of us across this great land can sync this to your ipod!
